Criminal Damage on Commercial Street

Officers are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage in Tadcaster.

At approximately 20:30hrs on Tuesday 2 June 2026, police were called to Commercial Street, Tadcaster, where it was discovered that a window had been smashed. Upon police arrival, the suspect(s) had already left the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible. If you were in the area at the time, or if you have any CCTV, doorbell footage, or dash cam recordings that may assist, please get in touch.

This incident forms part of a recent increase in reports of person(s) trespassing on land and causing damage to property in the local area. Such behaviour will not be tolerated, and we are committed to identifying those involved.
